About Me

Hi! I'm Emily. The most important thing you should know about me is that I'm a survivor. I've encountered and experienced a lot of suffering in the few decades I've been alive, but I've learned a lot from it.

I've worked as a teacher and in I.T. for the last few years, both part-time. I have a Master's Degree in English Literature and training in Java, database management, and of course general hardware and software knowledge.

I have a passion for live music, especially metal. I love romantic horror movies, fantasy, and science fiction. Gaming is a huge part of my life from table-top to video games. My dabblings include art, silver-smithing and other crafts. I'm a trained soprano and I perform on stage from time to time.

Some of my life is informed by my chronic health woes from allergies to Celiac Disease and numerous surgeries. I've managed my health with a blend of main stream medicine and a vegan gluten-free diet that has helped me tremendously. 

My family consists of my metal guitar playing I.T. tech husband and our cats. We're childfree by choice and live life to the fullest.
